The Zadis Project

Hello, hello. It has been a wonderfully hot week perfect for a little coloring. This type of week makes me wish I was a mermaid - enjoying the water and keeping cool!

The Card

Image: Siren of Pearls (Make it Crafty)
Skin: E21, E13, E35, BV23, R22
Hair: Y13, Y15, Y28
Tail: G12, G14, BG13, BG09, BG78

The coloring was an experiment on my part. I've been on a kick where I blend colors that normally wouldn't go. It is a great copic technique and I'm finally starting to explore it. A mermaid tail is just the place to do it.

Her hair is well...a failed experiment as well. I added some Brown Polychromo pencil to help add some dimension. I'm not totally in love with hit, but it works. I do, however, really like the idea of the yellow/goldish hair with the blue-green green mermaid tail. 🙂

On Facebook, there has been a little challenge with the image Siren of Pearls from Make it Crafty, a wonderful mermaid image. MIC and Passionate Paper Creations & Friends joined together this week for a bit of fun. Lucky for us MIC made this gorgeous image $1 in which to play with. The challenge ended yesterday, so I wanted to make sure to share it here as well.
