Hello hello! Happy Friday! I hope the week has gone well for everyone. Mine has been full of creating cards for CHA for the SOG booth and starting my two summer classes. The good thing with my summer classes is that 1) they are pretty slow paced and 2) I'm interested in it. Should make for some nice study time over the summer, now I just need some summer sun so I can sit back out on the balcony.
I have a wonderful card to show you today. I've had this stamp for a while now and really wanted to get her colored up.
The card layout was quite organic in the making. I really wanted to use my Glitz Love me Madly papers, yet still showcase Bubbles. Once I got her all matted up, I used an enlarged circle element from the Glitz elements to make little flags. After that, things just started hopping out of their bags and containers to be put on the card. 😀 I do like the little pop of yellow from the butterflies. 🙂
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R20
Hair: E50, E51, E53, E35
Shirt: C1, C3
Pants: C5, C7, C9
Shoes/Scarf: R20, R22, R24, R27, R29
Her hair didn't come out as well as I wanted, but still it was lovely to color all the different folds. Sometimes I think I'm finally getting the trick on coloring hair, and then it just all falls apart. Ah well, the card still came out quite nicely.
I'm actually listening to Wicked: Son of a Witch while typing this up. I loved Wicked and the second book has a good story as well. I had never entertained the idea of listening to books, but I'm really digging it. I can sit outside and color while listening to the wonderful story. It is nice. 🙂
