It is only the second of December and it feels like Jul already. The Jul decorations are already up and glittering around the town, and the bombardment of Jul-tide gift advertisements have started fluttering in. During times like this I always try to take time to sit and enjoy the cozyness of this cold weather. I have an extra warm, oversized sweater that I love to curl up in with a hot steaming mug of cocoa.
To that effect, this gorgeous image called Cuppa Mae from Some Odd Girl fits my mood completely. I won this image a bit back from the Some Odd Girl FB page. I was really cheesed about it, since then I have colored her many times, but it is only today that I finally got around to making the card. 🙂
The layout for the card is none other than this month's sketch challenge at Some Odd Girl Blog. It was such a fun sketch to play with, it also allowed me to use up some left over pages from my Lost & Found Christmas 6x6 pad.
Since I was feeling in a cozy mood, I really kept to a comforting spectrum - dark auburn hair, dark red sweater...you get the idea. 😀 Although, I must admit my partner and I disagree with what is actually in her cup. I'm all for cocoa, but he is very insistent that it is coffee. Not wholly surprised by that one though, after all he is Swedish. 😀
I hope everyone has a most wonderful December. Always remember that even though there is so much hustle and bustle going on, it is the little things that really make our lives beautiful. Take time out to just sit with a warm sweater with a hot steaming cup of coffee cocoa. 😀
