Some Odd Girl Ghost of Santa Past

Hello my friends! I’m up on the Some Odd Girl blog again today with this this number using the fantastic Santa Clear Stamp.

Santa Card

It is a remake of a card that I made last year. You can see the original card on the Some Odd Girl blog. 😉 I loved Santa and how he was colored up, but the card was not something I liked so there is nothing better than to make something a little bit different.

Don’t forget that you still have time to hop along our HolODDay Hop, you can start with the master list here. For your chance at winning some presents make sure to comment along the hop.

Fairy Bear on Kraft

Hello, hello! I’m over on the Make it Crafty blog again this Wednesday featuring a card with the cutie Fairy Bear!

Fairy Bear Card

I worked some magic with Copics and some kraft cardstock. Usually I leave the pencils for kraft, but I wanted to get some Copic coloring done so challenged myself a bit. The biggest difference between the white and kraft is that the kraft is more fibrous and thus soaks up the copics differently. Once you have that in mind, you can begin working!

My Copic Color Choices:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R22
Hair: E55, E57, E59
Sweater: R24, R27, R29, R59, R89, G05, G16, G17
Pants: BV20, BV23, BV25
Wings: B00, B02
Bear: E31, E33, E35, E37, Y13, Y17, Y28

I found myself using an extra light hand while coloring Fairy Bear on kraft, which is good! I have a heavy hand so the kraft helped me to lighten up. I’m almost out of kraft cardstock, but until then I think I’ll continue practicing. 😉

I also tried a different approach on coloring the light natural chipboard pieces. I used my White Wink of Stella, which I have to admit I don’t use often at all. I wasn’t sure if the chipboard pieces would actually show the white, but against the kraft they still pop – and have a little bling to them. 😀

The HolODDay Card

Oh my word, aren’t the gingerbread people from Gingerbread Kaylee Clear Stamp just the cutest? I paired them with the tree from Build a Snowman Clear Stamp – seriously LOVE this tree! I colored everything with Polychromos pencils on Neenah Desert Sand cardstock.

The card is made up of two layers of white cardstock, cut out to be snowy hills. What you don’t see are the little bling bling sparkles of my Wink of Stella on the white cardstock. 🙂

The Presents!

Some Odd Girl Movie Monday recap on a Wednesday

Hey hey everyone! I wanted to do a little recap on my own blog of a fab Some Odd Girl Movie Monday that was up on the inspiration blog this week. I’m so happy over how this project turned out using the Build a Snowman Clear Stamp Set.

3D Tree Ornament

So here is the end result, a magical 3D ornament with a little 3D paper piecing of one clear stamp! Make sure you hop over to the Some Odd Girl Movie Monday post or our YouTube channel to take a look on how I put this project together.

Here’s another view!

Neve Warm Winter Wishes

Wow, it is December already! I’ve been on the Make it Crafty blog for a month already – only one more month to go. *cry* I’m still so lucky to be able to play with the wonderful images like Neve in this card I posted on the MIC blog yesterday.

I stayed with my ever favorite layout, with the addition that I first placed Neve so she and the snowman would hit the lowest point. It left plenty of space for the awesome MIC digital sentiment!

I did try a full-Copic background here, just in the lighter colors V000 and B000. I’m working up to trying it in the darker shades, but first I need to make sure my markers are cleaned and well juiced up before I try it. 😀 While I’m not totally in love with the background, that isn’t the focus of the card – Neve and the sentiment are, so I’m satisfied with how the card turned out. 😀
