Hello my friends. I’m back, three weeks later, with a very special card using Lili of the Valley’s Over the Threshold rubber stamp. A family relative asked me to create a card for her nephew who was getting married this October. I wanted to create something special so this is what came out of the craft room. 🙂
Over the Threshold Card
I’ve had Over the Threshold for a while now. It was a gift for being on the Splitcoaststamp DT (yay!). The image is colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I thought watercolor would go well with the romanticism of the card.
The layout is a fabulous shadow box card from the Silhouette Studio Store (love that place!). It is one in a series of shadow box cards from Lori Whitlock.
I used sentiments also from Lili of the Valley, as well as some Wild Orchid flowers that have been sitting around. 🙂 Seriously, I’ve been pulling out all the stash lately & it is a good thing. I’ve found things I’ve forgotten I’ve even had, not to mention a new found love of my Big Shot.
The family friend loved the card, just hope that her nephew did too!
Hello my friends. I have a Fist Pump Tobie who Wobbles for you today! The LO is upstairs sleeping off (hopefully) a fever, so I got to sneak in here and post my latest card.
Fist Pump Tobie
This card took me a whole 10 minutes to make! Ok, that does exclude coloring of Tobie – I did that back in September. 🙂 But seriously, the layout was done using my new supplies, which I got to make it easier/more efficient to create cards. It also, was a silent process, which means no waking of the toddler! Yay!
Two items of note in the above picture (and the one below) is the Tombow Mono Liquid Glue & Hampton Art Mini Action Wobbles. These two things rock! I have long wanted to try the Tombow glue, as I’ve seen it featured in many YT videos. I’m so glad I did, this glue is super strong, tacky & the nozzle is great. The wobbles, however, were a little whimsy of mine, but oh boy they make for a great card. Wobbles are just pieces of plastic that have double-sided tape on both ends of a plastic spring.
And yet they make a rather simple card super super fun! You can check out the action in my video.

On a personal note
Some may follow me on my personal Facebook & saw a video that I posted there about gun control in the US. My heart breaks for Las Vegas, as it does every time someone is shot & killed. I have LONG been in opposition of guns, so for me taking up the hard discussion every time something bad happens ends up happening. If this is something that offends you, I’m sorry, but I’m not backing down. As long as there are unbridled guns among the general US populous, I will always be in opposition.
