Heya friends! I’m here again with a new creation. It is for the March Challenge up on Some Odd Girl.
I finally got to coloring up one of the new Hipster Cats from January! This is Coffee Cat, who is just adorable.

Continuing with my flat themed cards, this one is popped up in order to fit the March Challenge. 🙂 Still, I had a lot of fun coming up with what to do, and what paper to use!
Hey everyone! One new thing that we are doing at Some Odd Girl is our Some Odd Girl Release Review, where at the end of every month we get to look back on the projects made with that month’s new digis. 🙂 It is a great idea & I love it.
Here you have two of my own projects, one being new and the other is from the Valentine’s Hop.
My new creation is using the awesome new SOG character, Dakota. This is one tough cookie! Even with that being said, she still knows how to take it easy and just be.

Copic Markers used:
Skin: E11, E13, E15, E19
Hair: C3, B28, C5, C7
Shirt: R81, R83
Pants: C3, C5, C7
I’m sticking with my flat cards, but have switched over to an A6 size. This is a bit easier for me to print out images for a next-to-full sized card base. I love concentrating on just coloring the images and accenting with a patterned paper and border. 🙂
A little refresher from the V-day’s hop – Swoon Dakota! She is just a fabulous, versatile character and I can’t wait to see more of her.
There were quite a number of new images in February, so make sure to stop by the Blog for our Some Odd Girl Release Review to see examples from the Design Team! Or…you could just hop over to the store and pick yourself up some NEW digis!
Hey everyone! I was up on the Some Odd Girl blog yesterday with our February Challenge reminder. I created this little sequin studded card using Tea Pot digi stamp!
I’m a fan of all coffee/tea related and since having Miss E, I finally understand the NEED for the brown stuff, so when Kristy made up Tea Pot I was thrilled! It also let me try to get my metal coloring on – this is a hard technique I tell ya.
R24, R27, R29, R59, R89

While I didn’t use too many Copics I felt that extra R59 in the reds made a huge difference on that Tea Pot. I was lucky enough that my need-to-be-replaced Cool Greys actually added a bit the effect I was after on the stainless steel.
I LOVE shaker cards! They are just so much fun and create a super-flat card, which keeps the postage down. 😀 It doesn’t hurt that I love sequins, and for our Feb Challenge I even whipped out some red heart shaped sequins and even a pearl heart!
For those who love challenges, Some Odd Girl has brought back our challenges to the Some Odd Girl Blog. They are now monthly long challenges with the theme “Anything ODD Goes”. There will be a twist to each challenge though, so keep an eye out. I’m sure you figured out this month’s. 😉
Hey hey everyone! I wanted to do a little recap on my own blog of a fab Some Odd Girl Movie Monday that was up on the inspiration blog this week. I’m so happy over how this project turned out using the Build a Snowman Clear Stamp Set.
3D Tree Ornament
So here is the end result, a magical 3D ornament with a little 3D paper piecing of one clear stamp! Make sure you hop over to the Some Odd Girl Movie Monday post or our YouTube channel to take a look on how I put this project together.
Here’s another view!
One last Halloween card for the season, and the last of the Oddtober challenges at Some Odd Girl. The theme is all about using your stamps in an ODD way, such as using Beehive Mae for a Halloween card. 😉
From her green skin to the cataract eyes, Beehive Mae is still a ghoulish delight to color. The layout is a simple one, but I really like the assymetry of it. The different patterns of the paper get a little viewing, but still Beehive Mae is the focus. When using square card bases it start to feel a little boring with everything behind square, so the off-center placement really adds a little bit of umph.

You have one more day to play along with the ODDtober challenges, the winners will be announced on November 5th. Each challenge will have its own winner, so totally worth playing along with all the them! 😀
Hey everyone! I was on the Some Odd Girl blog yesterday with this beauty, Wave Mae. So I wanted to make sure to share it with you all.
The Fall Inspired Card
The card was heavily influenced by a color palette I found on Pinterest, but you can read more about that on the SOG blog. 🙂 The papers I chose are Lori Whitlock’s Fall Fling. The colors fit the color palette and had a great playful feel to them.
The layout is still sticking with My Favorite Things Stitched Basic Edges. I have never used my Big Shot as much as I have since getting these dies. I lurv them!
Wave Mae Image Details
The image is a wonderful one from Some Odd Girl called Wave Mae. She is a really good all-around image, perfect for any time of the year really. I just wanted to color up her polka dots and the color palette really inspired me so it worked out well in the end.

As October is coming to a close, there are only a couple more Halloween makes to share with you. 🙂 Next month you’ll also see a bit more posting, which I’m super super excited about. Stay tuned and stay stress-free!
Good afternoon on this fine crisp October Thursday. 🙂 Some Odd Girl is continuing our ODDtober challenges today with a sweet one – Black and White.
Since it is October, the season of ghouls and macabre, I thought to create an old Black and White portrait for this challenge. Think back to all those horror movies with the black and white portraits on the wall watching you. 😉 To accomplish this I picked the wonderful Demure. Her look was exactly what I was looking for.
The design is pretty simple. I didn’t want the black paper to be so flat, so I create two panels by tearing a middle panel diagonally across the paper. Some Lawn Fawn slit border action and I was satisfied.
As much as I love black and white, this needed a pop of color, which it got with the use of flat-backed wine red pearls. It almost looks like drop of blood, no? 🙂
ODDtober has been a blast so far and only 10 more days left! I’m looking forward to our fabulous Halloween Blog Hop, I hope you are too!
Hello my friends! It is another fabulous ODDtober challenge today. To see all the lovely inspiration and the theme for this challenge, head over to the Some Odd Girl Blog.
As for my own sample for today’s challenge I used the absolutely wonderful On Safari Clear Stamp set with an accessory from Owl-Days (retired).
I love using non-Halloween stamps for Halloween cards. 😀 The lion was colored up way back in spring. I used Simon Says Stamp Hybrid Ink in Slate for the stamping, and colored him up in Copics.
The layout is actually the other half of a previous card I did with the newest Vampire Bunny. I just love those stitches! I think it all fits ODDtober so well, so don’t forget to play along with us as well. 🙂
I can’t believe it is October. This is by far my favorite month, especially since it is also ODDtober! A whole month of challenges and prizes from Some Odd Girl. 😆
For this first challenge I played with my favorite stamp Cookies n Milk Clear Stamp. A little Halloween coloring to make it truly ODD and it fit the challenge theme.
These two little “ghoul” friends are just adorable. I imagine that Cookie tastes like a sugar cookie such chocolate chips while Milk is strawberry but with line green coloring. Yummy 😜
So this didn’t get published when it was supposed to but here ya go anyway. 😆 Good day my friends! Another week of craftiness gone and another post up on the Some Odd Girl Blog. This time I’m sharing an inspirational card with Hippo Digital Stamp.
Hippo Digital Stamp Card
I may have mentioned this before, but I usually plan out my cards in the Silhouette Studio app. This helps me visualize what I need and if I want something cut out, it is already there. 🙂

Not too many colors here, I was actually going for a more soft look. When working with greys, it is so important to use a light touch. Too often can the image become too grey, which makes it look like a mistake. I’ve done this so often that I wanted to challenge myself with going with a light touch.
If you would like to see the muse for the card, hop over to the Some Odd Girl Blog and take a look!
