It lays down ink well, the nib is smooth and large, which I like. A bit too wet at times. The biggest draw back and why I do not like it at all is the weight. Even un-posted this thing weighs way too much in my hand. It gets painful writing with posted even.

After changing to the fine nib, I like how much ink is laid down - even though the scratchiness of the fine nib is more. I am learning to start liking it, as the rest of the pen and the price is just fantastic.

It is a comfortable pen to write with, but I am not totally convinced on the nib on a normal day, let alone when I am having issues with it.

MD Paper used. Something about the aluminum just feels weak, the plastic Safari feels more robust to me.

MD paper used. This is a dry writer, I used a shim to widen the prongs enough that it became pretty juicy. When it is juicy, the nib doesn't feel as scratchy. On certain paper - like MD paper - the nib feels smooth enough, but on TRP, it is scratchy.

MD Paper used. It is such a pretty pen. I absolutely love it, and the onyx nib just feels a bit better. Right now I am missing an o-ring on the top, and can't post the cap.

MD Paper used. The pen is a bit light, but still comfortable, especially posted. Sadly does not come with a converter or clip though, so need to include that in the price.

MD Paper used. The pen writes rather smoothly, with a small amount of feedback. It fits comfortably in the hand, though the weight of the pen, even fully inked and posted, is on the lighter side than I like.

MD Paper used. The MD Paper had a bit of issue with the surface sizing layer that controls how the paper absorbs ink. Once I switched to TRP, the wonderful feel of the TWSBI Eco came back.
